How to Battle the Cold and Flu

2 WEEK CLASS

Tuesday, October 12th & 19th 7pm-8pm

(w/ optional 30 min. Q&A afterwards)

  

Location: Southern Winston Salem a few minutes from the Peters Creek Parkway off of I-40.

 

Price: $30.00 per person or $40.00 for 2 members of the same household (older children can join with adult).                                          

  

Description: Over the last several years, I have studied how to avoid colds and the flu naturally.  By implementing the steps shared in this class, I have seen dramatic improvement to my own health as well as many others.

 

Most modern medical practices are centered on disease management and symptom alleviation. However, if you don’t want to get sick, you must strengthen your immune system to do what it was magnificently designed to do: fight off bacteria and viruses and keep you healthy! 

 

 

In this 2 week class you will learn solid and proven steps to help avoid getting colds and the flu altogether.  You will be able to use the information in this class to help your family stay well throughout cold and flu season, and if you do get sick, you will be able to battle it off quickly before it attacks your whole family.

 

This class is for adults, and interested high-school students are welcome.

 

We hold this class in our home in a small personal setting.  Each 2 week class is limited to 8 people.

The 9 Best Foods to Eat

What better way for families to make changes in their life style than for a parent and their teen to become educated together about the best foods they can offer their body?  In this class parents and high school students will learn an easy acronym to help remember the absolute best foods to eat.  Each week they will take an in depth look at 9 remarkable foods and their benefits to the body.  Students will learn about healthy oils, and which oils are best for particular uses.  They will gain knowledge in grains, and the purpose of grains in the diet.  Students will learn how to prepare nuts for optimal nutrition.  They will learn the benefits of a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables.  They will be exposed to the latest research on dairy and other topics that are debatable, and students will make their own conclusions based on their findings.  This course is foundational to a life time of nutritional blessings.

8 Rules of Healthy Eating (Part 1)

In this class we will help you define “healthy eating”.  You will understand the effects of the food you eat on your body.  You will see how nutrition and other lifestyle choices are the answer to our energy deficit.  You will learn 8 rules of healthy eating that will boost your energy, and make you more productive in your life.  You will learn when to eat, and how often.  You will discover what foods give you energy, and what foods deplete your energy.  You will learn why your body experiences sugar crashes and how to eliminate them.  What are healthy fats?  Why does my body need them?  How often should I eat?  What food combinations will help me lose weight?  What foods should I avoid?  Can I eat foods that I crave and still have a healthy life style?  All these questions and more will be answered in this 2 week seminar.

 

This course goes together with another 2 week course that will be offered in January 2011 called The 9 Best Foods to Eat.
